General Electric Company, a global digital industry company, chose Zhangjiang High Tech Park in Shanghai Free Trade Zone (SHFTZ) as the home to its China Headquarters, GE China Technology Center and Asia-Pacific Center of Global Operation. In July, 2016, GE founded a Digital Foundry in China, the first one of its kind founded outside the US. As of now, all of GE business groups have conducted businesses in China.

The new policies also allow enterprises to submit annual reports online. Policies for talented individuals help GE introduce international high-end talents.
