With a planned construction area of more than 50,000 square meters, the campus is set to boost operational capacity and coordination, allowing Zeiss to integrate more rapidly into China's innovation ecosystem while enhancing its localized service capabilities.
According to the plan, the campus will integrate research and development, management functions, a customer experience service center, and high-end manufacturing.
It will strengthen collaboration with local research institutes and universities, promote co-creation and cross-sector integration within and beyond the industry, and better support the incubation and commercialization of frontier technologies, positioning the campus as a key hub in Zeiss' global innovation network.
Since establishing its presence in the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone in 1999, Zeiss has leveraged the area's strategic advantages, efficient customs clearance, and international business services to grow from a trading company into its Greater China headquarters.
As its business functions and scale have continued to expand, the company has become a shining example of Pudong's collaborative growth with enterprises, marked by shared progress and mutual success.
