The fair is advancing its strategic pillars of internationalization, professionalism, cross‑industry integration and sustainable development while emphasizing international exchange, promoting original content, and industry convergence.

A major highlight this year is the Spotlight on New Books platform, where 270 key titles from 14 countries are making their global debut. This initiative emphasizes the fair's increasing status as a leading venue for children's book launches worldwide, drawing participation from publishers across five continents.

The event is organized into two primary zones: the Copyright Zone for industry professionals and the Hybrid Zone for a wider audience, complemented by four specialized areas dedicated to education, cultural creation, intellectual property, and bookshops. With more than 20,000 new children's titles and 322 events focused on professional development and reading promotion, the fair reflects the entire spectrum of the children's content industry.

To enhance its overall cultural influence across the city, the fair implements a ticket-based economy model, connecting publishing with retail, tourism, and urban leisure activities. Ticket holders benefit from discounts at local venues, and citywide reading festivals along with author meet‑ups help embed the event into Shanghai's cultural lifestyle.
