The 10th Lujiazui Coffee Festival kicked off in Lujiazui, a vibrant locality in Shanghai's Pudong New Area, on Oct 22 and will run through Oct 26. With the theme "A Decade of Togetherness", the event brought together more than 300 coffee brands from around the world for a grand celebration of coffee culture.

Launched in 2016, the festival has grown into one of China's most iconic cultural events in the coffee world. Over the past nine editions, it has introduced more than 1,400 domestic and international coffee brands and cafes and served 850,000 visitors.

A wider variety of coffee brands from across the globe joined the festival, with 48 brands from 19 countries offering up a true coffee extravaganza for locals.

This year's festival further deepens the integration of coffee and culture by partnering with the leading Asian jazz music festival Jazz Shanghai and China's premier urban cultural fragrance brand Scent of Shanghai to create a multi-sensory, cross-cultural experience.

In addition, the festival worked with Shanghai Media Group to launch a pop-up cafe near the Jing'an Temple, where special coffee drinks and creative merchandise inspired by the Mogao Grottoes are available.

This year's coffee festival highlights a cultural-tourism section, blending special flavors from areas like Nujiang and Shangri-La in Southwest China's Yunnan province into coffee. Pudong also inked tourism deals with Nujiang and Shangri-La, sharing beans and sceneries globally.

After the main event ends in Lujiazui, a three-day premium coffee brand showcase will be held at the Shanghai International Convention Center. Concurrent events include a Lujiazui international coffee symposium, celebrity barista brewing stations, a latte art competition, and more.
