Multinational corporations in Pudong accelerate local innovation
At the 25th China International Industrial Fair (CIIF) held from Sept 23 to 27 in Shanghai, ABB and Schneider Electric, multinational giants setting up presence in the city's Pudong New Area, showcased groundbreaking innovations tailored for the Chinese market, highlighting a trend of "in China, for the globe".
ABB Robotics unveiled its global debut of the OmniCore EyeMotion vision system, empowering robots with advanced environmental perception and autonomous path planning. Designed and produced at ABB's super factory in Pudong, the technology addresses China's growing demand for flexible, intelligent manufacturing solutions.

Schneider Electric, meanwhile, presented its EcoFit Low Voltage Innovation Center China, marking a leap in retrofitting services. The center, located in Pudong, integrates R&D and production to deliver customized lifecycle management for industrial equipment, driving digital and green transitions.
Both companies exemplify the "China Hub" strategy, leveraging Pudong's robust supply chains and ecosystem. With over 2,200 R&D staff in China and annual investment growth exceeding 18 percent since 2019, Schneider Electric emphasizes local innovation as key to global competitiveness.
