The northern section of Shanghai Expo Culture Park reopened to the public on June 20 after nearly three months of being closed due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The opening hours of the park are from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. The park welcomed a rising number of visitors after its reopening. Visitors entering the park must wear face masks and everyone is required to present a negative nucleic acid test result taken within 72 hours as well as scan a venue QR code.

The luxurious green lawns and blooming flowers in the garden create a gorgeous summer landscape.

"Hydrangeas are currently in full bloom in the park and it is the best season to appreciate the beautiful hydrangea flowers," said a visitor surnamed Zhu.

Located at the southern bank of the Huangpu River in Pudong New Area, the 200-hectare park, which was opened to the public at the end of 2021 after four years of construction, was built on the former site of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai and serves as a leisure and cultural space for the public.

According to the announcement released by the park's administrative office, the park will strictly limit the number of visitors and implement staggered shifts and reservation systems. The park should limit travel flow to below 50 percent of its daily maximum visitor capacity.
