The 2019 Lujiazui forum, a major financial event, is slated to be held in Pudong New Area of Shanghai from June 13 to 14, local media reported.

With a focus on "accelerating the development of international financial centers and promoting high-quality economic growth", this year's forum will bring together over 400 officials, entrepreneurs and financial leaders from across the world to shed light on the hot issues in today's economic and financial areas through eight plenary sessions.

Topics discussed include financial supply-side structural reform of China's capital market, strengthening financial cooperation between China and the United Kingdom, the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region, and financial reform in Shanghai's free trade zone.

Held annually since 2008, the Lujiazui Forum has become a high-end financial dialogue platform with international influence by promoting the integration of the Chinese and international financial systems, enhancing global dialogue and cooperation in finance, and improving China's status in the international financial market.
