The representatives discussed issues presented in the Government Work Report and shared their ideas on how to improve the working efficiency of the government to benefit the public, according to a news report published on Pudong website on Jan 17.

Xiao Qing, one of the representatives, says that in the future the government should use cloud computing technology to enhance the quality of government's management, ensure the security of information and promote information sharing.

The project of "City Study", yet another new concept developed by the report, aims to build libraries, reading areas so that the Pudong people can get convenient access to book resources and expand their social circles. The report points out that in 2018, such types of reading areas should be created in Lujiazui, Zhangjiang and Lingang. Meanwhile, cultural associations should be created to encourage the public to read more.
