Pudong’s hospital endeavors to enhance medical quality

Shanghai government has published a ranking, regarding Shanghai's hospitals control and management of its medical quality, according to a news report published on Pudong website on Jan 17.

As shown from the rankings, Pudong Public Hospital ranks first in second-class hospitals and Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital also ranks first in third-class hospitals.

Medical quality management is a process which involves collecting information useful to the improvement of medical quality, controlling and managing, using every possible technology and method to reach a high quality level. The ultimate goal of medical quality management is to create an environment favorable for medical treatment.

The Medical Quality Control Plan issued by National Health and Family Planning Commission of People's Republic of China has been put into effect on November 1, 2016, signifying that China has made great progress in regulating the management of medical quality.

Medical quality lies at the core of the management of the hospitals so how to improve the quality of medical service has become a key issue. And the first-ranking Pudong Public Hospital has long been sticking to the patient-centered service philosophy and pays great attention to medical quality and safety.
