2017 Shipping Festival opened in Lujiazui on Nov 22, aiming to improve the construction of Shanghai's international shipping center.

The festival featured a seminar of risk management of shipping finance, where experts stated that Lujiazui employed a complete financial system to attract a large group of high-end shipping service institutes and shipping enterprises, totaling a number over 1,200.

Bank of Communication, China Merchants Bank and AVIC International Holding Corporation have been expanding their scale of service in shipping lease market. In the future, Lujiazui will use the advantages of Shanghai Free Trade Zone to improve the financing channels, policies and business environment and provide better services for financial leasing enterprises.

Moreover, at the seminar there were active talks on "how to manage the risks in the risk-ridden shipping financing environment". Meanwhile, experts at the event said that China's financial capitals have yielded good results in terms of international shipping lease, thus the issue of risk management has received great attention.
