Shanghai Disney wins the “Luban Prize" award
Shanghai Disney has been awarded the 2016-2017 China construction project 'Luban Prize' for its outstanding project, design and technologies, according to a news report released on Nov 9.
Bei Haode, manager of the fantasy project at Shanghai Disney said, for the past 5 years, over 100,000 architects, engineers and experts have been working together to create a world famous resort, where tourists can experience whole-heartedly a fantasy world.
He added that the original aim is to build a Disney wonderland with Chinese characteristics.
According to the official information, from 2011 to 2016, the Shanghai group of Disney project has been working closely with Chinese contractors in a quest to combine the international standards of Disney with local resources.
Apart from the strict standards, Shanghai Disney Resort also includes innovation and environmental protection technologies into the whole project. It has made full use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and DISH (Digital Immersive Showroom) technologies.
The China construction project Luban Prize was created by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and China Construction Industry Association. It is one of the most authoritative prizes in the construction industry. The screening process is very strict and the winner of the prize represents the highest standard of the industry.
