Model Power Community strives to boost specialized model industry in Shanghai
Since its launch on Aug 30 last year, the Model Power Community, a large-scale artificial intelligence models industry cluster in Shanghai's Zhangjiang Science City, has played a pivotal role in establishing the city as a hub for the specialized model industry.

The thriving innovation ecosystem within the community has provided robust support for numerous innovators and entrepreneurs, accelerating the transition of AI from laboratory research to practical applications.
With close to 200 upstream and downstream enterprises already operating in the community, the industrial chain cluster covers a wide range of areas, forming a comprehensive closed-loop ecosystem. This has led to the emergence of a specialized, model industry hub in the region.
Zhu Hui, general manager of Shanghai Zhangjiang Science Gate Technology Development Co, emphasized that the Model Power Community focuses primarily on "vertical AI models", offering tailored scenarios, ecosystems, and services to resident enterprises, thereby bridging the final gap in AI implementation.

Vertical AI refers to AI systems specifically designed to solve problems within a particular industry or domain. These AI models are highly specialized, focusing on niche areas such as healthcare, finance, manufacturing, or legal services.
Yanyin Technology was among the first group of companies to join the community last September. Shi Huihui, the company's co-founder and CTO, said that the company has benefited from a year of rent-free office space and a subsequent two years of reduced rent. The collaborative environment has enabled the company to connect with numerous partners, Shi said.
