2nd Batch of Strawberries Newly Arrives in Shanghai
Publish time: 2017-02-17

Recently, the second batch of strawberries has come in the market in Shanghai successively. In the interview at Afang Strawberry Plantation of Zhuqiao Town on February 9, it is learnt that the strawberry's gross yield of this year had declined compared with that of last two years due to the heat rebound and the price per kilogram had seen a year-on-year increase by 14 yuan while per kilogram for direct wholesale in this plantation priced at 50 yuan. "It often takes over 40 days from sprouting to collecting and going to market, but the pickup after spring may shorten the growth cycle to only some 30 days and the price will fall off as the yield grows." said Mr Yan, who is in charge of the plantation. They now have received several group orders on the second batch of strawberries.
