THE Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China signed a contract against corruption when inking a commercial contract with Air France recently.

It is the first contract against corruption signed by a foreign company in Pudong New Area and included a guarantee of no corruption record along with setting up a mechanism against corruption during the contract.

The two-contract practice will be further expanded to other large-scale foreign projects in Pudong New Area, including the Disneyland project, according to the Pudong New Area Prosecutors' Office.

The practice has been adopted in major projects in the area among domestic companies for more than 10 years. Dozens of projects have received anti-corruption certificates in a Pudong International Airport project, and thus they became the first group of companies with the certificate.

Only companies without corruption and criminal records can receive the certificate. Four companies have failed the anti-corruption application so far.
