Top global university students visit Pudong

The 2017 Global Top School Carnival opened in Shanghai's Pudong New Area on Nov 17.

More than 60 students from world's top-rated universities such as China's Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Italy's University of Pisa, and Germany's RWTH Aachen University attended the day-long event.

They took part in a forum and held discussions with experts regarding the ways in which to promote Pudong's innovation and entrepreneurship and they also provided suggestions for Pudong's development.

They also visited the Zhangjiang Multinationals Joint Incubation Platform to learn about Pudong's entrepreneurship environment, the Shanghai-based China Art Museum to experience the charm of traditional Chinese culture, and the Pudong Exhibition Hall to gain a better understanding of the area's development and opening up.

The students were also invited to witness the final of the 6th "Entrepreneurship in Pudong" Global Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

The event, launched by Pudong authorities, started in 2015 and has attracted over 230 students from Harvard, Cornell and New York University from the US, China's Peking and Tsinghua, and other top global universities.

The event is intended to introduce Pudong to the world and increase exchanges and communication among students at the world's top universities.
