Shanghai Planning Projects show up at City Development Exposition

2017 Shanghai International City Development and Investment Exposition was held at the Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Center of International Sourcing on Nov 10.

An array of planning projects including the eastern museum of Shanghai Museum, the eastern library of Shanghai Library, Shanghai Opera House and Pudong Art Museum were on show.

According to the construction plan, the eastern museum of Shanghai Museum will be 105,000 kilometers and it will be a world-class Chinese ancient art museum.  

The new Shanghai Opera House boast three halls which will be designed for performances and it will be built into a worldly famous opera house.

The new Shanghai library will join with the neighboring Shanghai Science Museum, Oriental Art Centre and Pudong Exhibition Hall to form an international influential cultural cluster.

The exhibition is China's first exchange platform of city development and investment. It will showcase the achievements Shanghai has made in city development for the past 5 years.

One of the highlights at the exhibition is a display of the plan to connect Zhangjiang Science City, International Tourist Resort, Sanlin Bingjian, World Expo Cultural Park, and the East Bank of Pudong.

To be specific, the future landmark- International Business Area, which owns three key functions, namely business, cultural media, sports and leisure is projected to develop into an international area.

Moreover, the Sanlin Binjiang Area to the east of Huangpu River is one of the main green areas under planning. In the near future, its will be an ecological, multicultural, diverse, open district and a demonstration area of city transformation, exotic culture and innovation.
